Chase Shelton has a broad-based commercial litigation practice, including merger, securities, and bankruptcy litigations in state and federal courts around the country. Prior to joining the firm, Chase served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard G. Stearns on the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and practiced at a large international law firm.
Chase earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Boston University Law Review and was awarded Best Petitioner Brief and Best Team in B.U.'s Homer Albers Prize Moot Court Competition.

- Defended leading entertainment holding company and regional sports network in derivative and class action merger litigations in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
- Represented nearly 100 affiliated debtor cryptocurrency entities in multiple avoidance actions and in identifying and recovering assets for creditors.
- Defended multinational financial institution against actual and constructive fraudulent transfer claims.
- Defended leading auto manufacturer and its U.S. financing subsidiaries against the SEC in dispute alleging claims under Sections 10(b), 17(a)(2), and 20(a) of the Exchange Act related to the companies’ failure to disclose criminal activity in Rule 144A bond prospectuses, due diligence questionnaire responses, and subscription agreements. Case settled on a no admit/no deny basis after extensive discovery.
- Defended materials manufacturer and its senior executives in putative securities class action alleging claims under Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Exchange Act and Sections 11, 12(a)(2), and 15 of the Securities Act arising out of statements made in IPO and SPO prospectuses. Case settled favorably after motion to dismiss.
- Defended international online gaming company and two of its senior executives against putative class action alleging claims under Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Exchange Act.
