Elsberg Baker & Maruri won a victory by successfully defeating an application for a temporary restraining order brought by Jane Street Capital (represented by Quinn Emanuel) against our clients, Douglas Schadewald and Daniel Spottiswood, and the firm they joined after leaving Jane Street, Millennium Management, LLC (represented by Dechert). Following expedited briefing and a hearing, the Court denied Jane Street's motion for a temporary restraining order in its entirety.
The Court ordered the parties to commence expedited pre-trial proceedings, with a trial scheduled in July 2024, with no temporary injunction imposed before trial.
