ABA’s <z>Law Practice Today</z> Interviews Rollo Baker on The Firm’s Competitive Edge

Last week, Elsberg Baker & Maruri partner Rollo Baker was interviewed on the ABA’s Law Practice Today podcast, hosted by Terrell Turner, to discuss how law firms can create a competitive edge by giving associates meaningful courtroom experience early in their careers.
As Rollo explained in the interview, EBM’s business model requires early associate experience to be the norm, not the exception. "We have to have every person on our case team—from the junior associate to the senior partner—performing at the highest possible level. And the way you do that is you start substantive experience from day one on the job.”
He also noted what draws top talent to the firm. “I think the reason they come to us is because of the type of experience they'll get early on. The culture here is one that really focuses on that experience, celebrates that experience.”
